Lordy, Lordy -- Look Who's Forty Final Project

I have enjoyed celebrating Jenn's 40th birthday If you follow the line up, I am after Paula at For my final project, I made a "Girlie" Picture Frame. I started with a plain wooden $1.00 picture frame from Michaels and covered it with pink paper from My Stash. I just added a lot of Modge Podge, some Recollection pink flowers, and I cut the numbers from the Plantin Cartridge. Jenn, I hope you have had a great birthday.

Just one more reminder, I'll pick the winner of the $20 gift certificate Monday, May 2, 2011. I hope everyone has a great crafting weekend -- there are a lot of great blog-hops coming up.

Please continue to pray for those who are suffering and trying to recover from the tragic storms that have affected the southeast this week. We live in a area of Alabama that was spared from damage. So many of our fellow Alabamians were not as fortunate. The devastation is unbelievable. As of 7:00 PM local time today, the fatality count had grown to over 200 just in Alabama.

Praying for peace in the lives of those who don't have basic necessities tonight. Thank you for looking. -- Anita

Lordy - Lordy Look Who's Forty Part Two

This is my Second Project celebrating the 40th birthday of Jenn  you should have gotten here from Paula at  If not you can always start over at Jenn's.  I made this project using the new toy my husband bought me this weekend, a new sewing machine.  So, let's forget the fact I have been through five sewing machines in my crafting career, this was a chance to use a new one.  I used More Cosmo Cricut Paper and zig-zagged around the mat using the Sentiment from Cosmo Cricut.  It says it all, "Life Is Good."

I know there have been problems with some of the blogs, but I want everyone's project to be viewed.  This is a very caring community and we all like to hear nice things.  Anyway, thanks for looking -- You don't have to leave another comment if you don't wish to.  I'll pick from the entire week on Monday, May 2, and announce the winner of the $20 Gift Certificate.  E-Hugz -- Anita

Home Decor Hop April 22-24

Welcome to my blog for my Home Decor project.  I hope you got here from Kimmarie If not you can go back to Faith and follow the line up.

I made a Memory Board, but it is a unique Memory Board.  I love Cosmocricket Paper and I "over bought" this pattern, "Girl Friday."  I started with an old 12 X 24 canvas, randomly tore the paper, and then "mod podged" it in no particular order.  I used five or six more coats of Mod Podge, then I used ribbon and just criss-crossed the canvas, putting Tim Holtz Brads at the ribbon intersections.  I am planning on using some of my tag swaps that I have received and love so much.

This project cost almost nothing except for the Modge Podge and would also be great to put pictures on.

OK - Blog Candy--Follow Faith's instructions for the big give-a-way, but I am also giving away two bottles of Lindy Stamp Gang Spray.  Just make sure you sign up to follow my blog and leave a comment of how you would suggest using a board like this one.

Now go to Kathy's  I will announce the winner for my give-a-way Monday night.  Thanks for looking.

Tartan Day Blog Hop April 6, 2011

This Hop was created so we could all learn more about Tartan Day Scottish history.  We all have projects with this in mind.  I you came to my Hop from Vicky at, then you are in the right order!  If not start from the beginning at
When I researched Tartan Day, I learned there is a huge parade in New York City to celebrate the Scottish Heritage in the US.  I was also amazed that so many carried their dogs (Scottish Terriers) to the parade to participate.  So my card has my dog on his way to the Tartan Parade, and in the background is Stewart Tartan (of my BFF).  After looking at my project, please go to Ann at  She has something great created.  Thanks for hopping.
