We Love Our Heros Blog Hop 5/21

Today is Armed Forces Day, so again, this is a hop to support and bring awareness to the works of Operations Write Home.  You should have arrived here from Amy - .  If not please start at Misty's - so you don't miss anything this wonderful group has to offer.  In addition to card makers making cards for service persons to send home to their families, OWH has what they call "Hero Mail."  These cards can be any size, not just the usual required A2.  They also include a personal note to 'Any Hero.'  We call them Hero's because OWH handles all branches of service.  These are passed out to deployed hero's, who might not get much mail, or just passed around to enjoy news from home.  Here is more info:
Thank you to All of our Hero's, past, present, and those who serve on the Homefront as well!

I made my card from K & Company Amercana Paper Stack.  BLOG CANDY ALERT --- Blog Candy is My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies.  Please just make sure that you are a follower of my blog, and leave a comment for me to get in touch with you.  Monday I will pick and announce a winner.

Your next stop is......Kathie .

5/8 - 5/11 Mother's Day Blog Hop 2nd Project

My project for today is a Memory Board for a very special lady.  I made one of these for another hop recently and loved the idea..  I made this Memory Board for my Son's adopted Grandmother - Ann Robinson.  Ann and her husband Ross have a place on the lake where they spend the warm months.  Their home is always full of photos and momentos of their family, so what better for those pop-up or push-pin items.  I used Cosmo Cricut Paper from the Joy Ride Stack and the Recycle Stack.  I also used Modge Podge and then added ribbon.  Ann is constantly taking care of others and doing so much for others.  She has truly been a blessing to my family and to so many in our community.

I hope all of you had a great Mother's Day.  You should have gotten here from Theresa - .
Don't forget, BLOG CANDY - on Thursday May 12th I will randomly choose a winner for a $20 Amazon Gift Card.  You just have to be a follower of my Blog and leave a comment.  I know everyone is busy, so not everyday, but just when you have time leave a comment.  Thanks for stopping by and now go to Kathy at

For the Kiddos! Blog-Hop May 3, 2011

Thank you Laura for being the inspiration behind this Blog-Hop.  The purpose of this Blog-Hop is to give us all ideas of crafts to do for our kids, with our kids, or our kids could make for us.  Fun-Fun-Fun!!!  You should have gotten here from Jessica B .  If you didn't you can always go back to the beginning with Laura .    I made three projects for this Blog Hop.

Project One is a card for my BFF's newest grandson.  I cut a 12X4 strip to start with and folded it, cutting out his intials and using Echo Park's Boys Will Be Boys's Paper.  I cut the initials from Pantin Schoolbook and added stickles.

Project Two is a card I made for a dance recital for my niece.  I used the sentiment and mat from the Twinkle Toes Cartridge and used Recollection Paper and Ribbon.  What a cute card for a cute girl.

My third project is one you and your children can do together.  I cut the door hanger from Locker Talker at 7".  I used Echo Parks Boys Will Be Boys Paper and used stickers to decorate it.  You could let your child pick the stickers for his door.

My Blog Candy is a gift certificate from Kinderstampo.  She has the most wonderful stamps, and the best part of this Blog Candy is you can decide what you want.  I have them all and absolutely love them.  Just make sure you are a follower of my blog, and please leave a comment.  Have a great week and please remember to keep praying for last weeks tornado victims.
