History In Your Lifetime Blog Hop January 14-15 2012

Welcome to the "History In Your Lifetime" Blog Hop January 14-15 2012.

You should have gotten here from Jennifer - http://craftycardgallery.blogspot.com/ .  If not make sure you start at the beginning with Jamie - http://myamusinglife.blogspot.com .
Jamie - http://myamusinglife.blogspot.com .  It was difficult to choose one event to use one event for my project.

My project today is a scapbook page about the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster.  I remember it so vividly.  I was in the hospital with Toxemia and Preeclampsia expecting our son William.  What a shock to watch the events that day unfold live on TV.  Those losing their life that day were Christa McAuliffe (Teacher in Space), Dick Scobee (Commander), Mike Smith (Pilot), Ron McNair (Mission Specialist), Judy Resnik (Mission Specialist), Ellison Onizuka (Mission Specialist), and Gregory Jarvis (Payload Specialist).

This is a list of all of the projects in our Blog Hop today:
Vicki W - http://scrapbookingcreationsbyvicki.blogspot.com

Thanks so much for stopping by. My BLOG CANDY is a DIY Album from CreateSerenditpity. All you have to do to qualify is be a follower on my blog and please leave feedback. You will also need to leave your contact info. I will draw for a winner on Wednesday, January 18.

I should be the last stop on the hop.  I hope you have enjoyed of the projects.

Wonderful layout about the disaster. Why is it that the sad and terrible things stand out in our minds forever, not the happiest events? So sad.

Wow! I remember that! Love how you turned that piece of history into a great layout! Awesome job and thanks for reminding us all about this event. :) Thanks for the chance to win too!

Hi, Just got around to hopping! I remember that - one of the girls in my class got really upset because her mom had been in the running (obviously didn't get it) to be the teacher on the shuttle.
